This is a complete rebuild kit for Mits TD04 and TE04H turbochargers. This kit comes with all of the thrust parts (thrust collar, thrust ring) and also the seal plate. There are two varieties of compressor wheels used in TD04 turbos. The first one is called a flatback design (wheel on left in picture) and the second one is called a superback design (wheel on right in picture). The difference is that the flatback compressor wheel is totally flat in the center, it is not beveled or indented, and the superback wheel is beveled, or tapered, as you can see in the picture below.

The difference in the kit components is with the thrust collar and the seal plate. The thrust collar for the flatback wheel is taller than the superback thrust collar, and the seal plate for the flatback wheel is flat whereas the superback seal plate is indented. It is important for you to purchase the correct kit. This is a complete rebuild kit for Mitsubishi TD05/TD05H/TD06 turbochargers. This kit will ONLY work for superback compressor wheel models such as big and small 16G, 18G, 20G, and EVO turbos. If you are converting an older style flatback compressor wheel turbo to the newer style superback (ex: 14B to 16G), you will need this kit to complete the conversion (as well as the 16G compressor wheel).
