Garrett T2, T25, and T28 Rebuild Kits

These rebuild kits are for journal bearing/non ball-bearing turbos only. Ball-bearing turbo rebuild kits are currently not manufactured. If you are not sure whether you have a ball bearing turbo or not, email us your turbo part # which is located on the bearing housing/center section of the turbo, or we could also identify the turbo in most cases by the vehicle’s year, model, and engine code (when applicable).

There are two different types of compressor end seals used on T2, T25, and T28 turbos. The choices are dynamic seal or carbon seal kits. From our experience, almost all of the T25′s made from 1990 and up are the dynamic seal type. Most turbos made before 1990 have a carbon seal. Below is a picture of the different seals, and a list of which vehicles used what type of seal.
